Habakkuk

Read Habakkuk this morning. This portion at the end of the text was really an encouragement.

"Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet i will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me to tread on high places"

It encouraged me to trust and rejoice in the Lord even when things don't look like what i think they should - because he is the God of my salvation. He has demonstrated his grace, mercy, love, trustworthiness and worthiness through Jesus Christ. It was also an encouragement for me to continue to be faithful in prayer.
